Takamaka Kreol Cask is a distinctive dark molasses rum from Seychelles, created as a blend of pot and column distilled molasses rums, which follows the typical Seychellois style of the Takamaka brand. The rum is first aged with French oak, then pressed together with French and ex-bourbon wood and finally blended with 8-year-old Barbadian rum from the Foursquare distillery.
In the end, the rum rests for 60 days in old sugarcane rum barrels, where it gains greater depth and complexity. The result is a full, warming, and slightly sweet rum with notes of toasted oak, brown sugar, molasses, roasted coffee, cocoa, and lingering spices.
