Meukow Cognac was established in 1862 and is a symbolic house whose history and expertise are among the most recognized in the world of spirits. Meukow is located in the heart of the French Cognac region and is known for the exceptional quality of its products and the elegance of its cognacs.
The origins of Meukow cognac trace back to the initiative of two Russian brothers, Auguste-Christophe and Gustav Meukow, who were commissioned by Tsar Alexander II to secure supplies of cognac for the Russian imperial court. They founded the Meukow house and thus established a tradition of excellence and innovation that endures to this day.
The production of Meukow cognacs is based on a strict selection of grapes and perfect mastery of the distillation process. Eaux-de-vie are carefully distilled and aged in French oak barrels, where they acquire their complex aromas and characteristic smoothness.
