Meikle Tòir The Turbo 2025 Edition (pronounced “Mee-kuhl Tor”) is a project of The GlenAllachie Distillers Company, led by Master Distiller Billy Walker, focused on producing peated whisky in Speyside - a region not traditionally known for heavy peat.
The Turbo 2025 Edition takes this vision to the extreme: the spirit was selected from the “heart” of the distillation run with the highest phenol content (around 72 ppm).
The whisky matured for 5 years in carefully chosen casks: a combination of five American virgin oak casks and four Oloroso sherry casks.
On the nose, you’ll find notes of Manuka honey, roasted caramel and smoky cedarwood, complemented by butterscotch, treacle tart and spiced orange peel.
The palate is intense, offering heather honey, roasted hazelnuts, ginger, mocha and molasses, followed by oak, dark chocolate and warm plum marmalade. The finish is long and smoky, with a sweet peaty profile and powerful character.
This expression is crafted for enthusiasts seeking a bold, more expressive whisky - a fusion of classic Speyside softness with intense peat.
