Laurent-Perrier La Cuvée Brut
Choose the right glasses for prosecco or champagne and enjoy them as they should be.
Laurent - Perrier La Cuvée Brut is an enhanced alternative to classic brut. The prestigious house of Laurent - Perrier, founded in 1812 in the village of Tours-sur-Marne in the heart of the Champagne region, is among the most recognized and largest family wineries in France. La Cuvée represents their flagship wine, which best expresses the brand's character – lightness, precision, and harmony.
This champagne is made from grapes sourced from over 100 vineyards in the Champagne region, primarily from Premier and Grand Cru sites. The base of the cuvée consists of Chardonnay (approximately 55%), which gives the wine elegance, mineral purity, and a delicate floral aroma. It is complemented by Pinot Noir (around 30%), which brings structure and depth, and Pinot Meunier (about 15%), responsible for fruitiness and freshness. Only “la cuvée” is used – the highest quality part of the juice from the first pressing, ensuring the purity and finesse of the resulting wine.
After secondary fermentation, the wine ages for a minimum of four years in the cellars of Laurent-Perrier, where its characteristic complexity develops. The dosage (addition of sugar after fermentation) is low, which supports a dry, refined style and highlights the wine's natural freshness and mineral profile.
The color is light golden with a radiant shine and fine, persistent bubbles. The aroma is fresh, clean, and elegant – opening with notes of white fruits, citrus, fresh apples, and pears, complemented by subtle touches of white flowers and almonds.
On the palate, La Cuvée is harmonious and balanced – a delicate texture combines creaminess with fresh acidity. Notes of peaches, lemon zest, almonds, hazelnuts, and a hint of brioche emerge, referencing the long aging on the lees. The finish is long, mineral, and clean, with a gentle trace of citrus and almond.
Laurent-Perrier La Cuvée Brut is a perfect aperitif, but also pairs excellently with lighter dishes – such as delicate fish, seafood, poultry, or goat cheese. It is recommended to serve well chilled (8 – 10 °C) in a flute or tulip champagne glass, which allows its aroma and fine bubbles to shine.
