Highland Park 15 Year Old Viking Heart is a lightly smoky Scottish single malt whisky with a Viking heart.
Its character is crafted by Gordon Motion (local Master Whisky Maker), who selected predominantly European oak sherry casks for its maturation to awaken warm and spicy notes in the whisky. However, he also complemented these with American oak sherry casks, which balanced it with sweet vanilla. The resulting whisky was ultimately bottled at 44% alcohol by volume, revealing vibrant fruity notes and a peaty-heather character.
