Highland Park is the northernmost distillery in Scotland, located on the rugged and beautiful Orkney Islands. It was founded in 1798 by David Robertson on the site where church officer and smuggler Magnus Eunson once distilled whisky. Today, it stands among the world’s most respected single malt whisky brands, admired for its balance and deep connection to Viking heritage.

Peat, wind, and sea air

Highland Park draws its unique character from its wild surroundings. The distillery uses peat from Hobbister Moor – a distinctive mix of moss and heather infused with sea salt. The result is a gentle smokiness with notes of honey, spice, and coastal breeze. Its water comes from the mineral-rich Crantit Spring, adding purity and freshness to the whisky.

Tradition and craftsmanship

Highland Park is one of the few Scottish distilleries that still malts its own barley by hand – about 20% of its total. This dedication to craft preserves the authentic taste and consistent quality of every batch.
