Description
Gusano Rojo is a real Mexican mezcal, made from 100 % agave of the Angustifolia variety in Oaxaca in Mexico. Manufacturing process includes double distillation and 2 months of maturing in oak barrels.
It is the most widespread mezcal in the world, sold in more than 22 countries. Gusano Rojo means "Red Worm" in translation and it is considered as a delicacy with aphrodisiac properties. In fact, it is a butterfly larva that normally lives inside the hearts of the agave.
We recommend serving it clean with ice or in a variety of cocktails.
