Mezcal Planta Santa Joven

Planta Santa Joven mezcal is produced in the city of Oaxaca in southern Mexico. Mezcal is a distillate made primarily from the agave variety Maguey Espadin but also from other wild-growing agaves. It is a young, unaged mezcal with a pronounced flavor of cooked and roasted agave. The strong and herbal taste is characterized by light notes of fresh mint and olives and smokiness. The recipe for production and distillation has a tradition of over 400 years, passed down from generation to generation.

This mezcal is one of three that belong to the first and so far only series of the Planta Santa brand. Joven has a dark blue bottle color. The logo on the bottle is inspired by agave leaves.
