Casamigos Mezcal

Casamigos Mezcal is a premium mezcal that expands the portfolio of the Casamigos brand, founded by George Clooney, Rande Gerber, and Mike Meldman.

It is produced in Mexican Oaxaca using traditional artisanal methods from 100% Espadín agave, grown in the Santiago Matatlán region, known as the "mezcals capital."

After harvesting, the hearts of the agave (piñas) are slowly roasted for 4 to 6 days in earthen pits lined with volcanic stones, which gives the drink its characteristic smoky aroma. The agave is then crushed using a traditional stone wheel called tahona, fermented for 6 to 8 days, and double distilled in copper pot stills. Before bottling, it rests for up to 2 months to harmonize the flavors.

This mezcal has a crystal-clear color and offers a complex aroma with notes of smoke, herbs like oregano and thyme, mint, mango, and tamarind. The taste is smooth and balanced, with hints of smoke, black pepper, and sweet agave, leading to a long and silky finish. Due to its smoothness, it is ideal for those new to mezcal, while also being enjoyed by experienced connoisseurs.
