Gusano Rojo Mezcal is a Mexican brand that produces mezcal. It was one of the first brands to start bottling worms.

Legend has it that a bottling employee, Jacobo Lozano Páez, came up with this idea in the 1940s, before this mezcal received its current name.

The name “Gusano Rojo” comes from the worm that grows in the agave and can be considered a delicacy with aphrodisiac properties.
