It then traveled to the historic cellars of Williams & Humbert winery in Jerez, Spain, where it rested for another 5 years in oak barrels that previously contained sherry. However, the exceptional nature of Dos Maderas 1935 lies in its final aging. The rum was transferred to a rare historical barrel, in which sherry has been aging since 1935. Decades of wood contact with sherry left unique aromatic properties in the barrel, enriching the rum with additional layers of flavors, fine tannins, and extraordinary elegance.

The final stage was more than 18 months of aging in 16-liter glass demijohns, during which the individual aromatic and flavor components perfectly blended into a harmonious whole.
