Thomas Henry Grapefruit pairs perfectly with this product. Mix yourself one of the world’s most famous cocktails – the refreshing Paloma.
The characteristic very unique tequila Don Julio Reposado immediately shows that it is made with a love for tradition. It is produced from 100% blue Weber agave, hand-grown on highland plantations in Jalisco and double distilled with subsequent slow aging in small oak barrels.
The piñas are slowly baked in brick ovens, then fermented with yeast, distilled in steel tanks with a copper coil, and then aged in small American oak barrels for eight months.
The aging in barrels is longer than that of regular reposado tequilas (the standard is 2 months), which allows for a subtle enhancement of vanilla, caramel, and fruity notes in the drink.
It beautifully smells of apples, pears, and citrus. The taste is smooth and elegant with hints of dark chocolate, vanilla, and cinnamon. The base is a sweetness conditioned by agave, supported by oak aging. The finish is warm, with tones of dried fruit, nuts, and caramel apple. The duration is medium to longer, with a very gentle alcoholic finish. It is a pleasant reposado suitable for connoisseurs and beginners alike.
The first sip surprises with its lightness and spicy sweetness. Amazing with ice or neat.
