Don Julio Blanco represents tequila in its purest and most authentic form. It is made exclusively from 100% Blue Weber Agave, grown at high altitudes in the Jalisco region, where the agave has ideal conditions for slow and natural growth. This version forms the foundation of the entire Don Julio portfolio. It is a Blanco tequila, often referred to as silver tequila.
The agave hearts, called piñas, are slowly baked in traditional brick ovens. They are then fermented in stainless steel tanks with a proprietary yeast culture. Distillation occurs in two phases in stainless steel distillation units with a copper coil, ensuring a clean and balanced flavor profile. Don Julio Blanco does not age in barrels. After a short resting period in neutral tanks, it is bottled to preserve the natural character of the agave.
The aroma features fresh agave and citrus notes, complemented by a subtle minerality. The taste is clean, slightly sweet, with hints of citrus and light herbal tones, finishing with a fresh and drier spicy conclusion. Thanks to its purity and freshness, Don Julio Blanco is an exceptionally versatile tequila.
