Don Julio Blanco
Don Julio Blanco represents tequila in its purest and most authentic form. It is made exclusively from 100% Blue Weber agave, grown at high altitude in the Jalisco region, where the agave benefits from ideal conditions for slow, natural growth. This expression forms the foundation of the entire Don Julio portfolio. It is a Blanco tequila, often referred to as silver tequila.
The agave hearts, known as piñas, are cut and slowly baked in traditional brick ovens. They then ferment in stainless steel tanks using the brand’s own yeast culture. Distillation takes place in two stages in stainless steel stills with copper coils, ensuring a clean and well-balanced flavour profile. Don Julio Blanco is not aged in barrels. After a short resting period in neutral tanks, it is bottled to preserve the natural character of the agave.
The aroma is led by fresh agave and citrus notes, complemented by subtle minerality. The palate is clean and gently sweet, with hints of citrus and light herbal tones, finishing with a fresh, slightly dry and spicy note. Thanks to its purity and freshness, Don Julio Blanco is an exceptionally versatile tequila.
It is ideal enjoyed neat or over ice, while also serving as an excellent base for cocktails such as the Margarita or Paloma.
