Don Julio Añejo
Pronunciation: {Don Chulio Aňeho}Tequila Don Julio Añejo is made from agave grown in the Mexican region Jalisco. The production process of Añejo tequila differs from that of Blanco tequila, primarily due to aging in oak barrels.
After harvesting the agave, the piñas are carefully prepared and cooked to be ready for fermentation. After fermentation, they are distilled to obtain pure alcohol. This is followed by the crucial aging phase, during which tequila is stored in oak barrels, where it acquires its color, flavor, and aroma. The aging duration affects the final character of the tequila. Don Julio Añejo ages for at least 1 to 3 years, allowing it to develop a complex and harmonious profile.
The aroma features notes of lime, grapefruit, and tangerine complemented by caramel. It has a full flavor with deep character. Sweet fruits like strawberries and cherries dominate, along with vanilla and butter. Very long honeyed finish with a hint of spice.
We recommend serving it neat at room temperature or chilled. Bottles are filled with an alcohol content of 38% with a volume of 0.7 l.
