El Jimador Reposado

El Jimador Reposado starts with 100 % hand-picked Weber blue agave, naturally fermented and doubly distilled. He rests for 2 months in hand-made American oak barrels until the perfect moment. Thanks to that, it gets an excellent golden tone, warm and smooth taste.

It bears its name in honor of the "jimadores" – farmers who harvest agave by hand. The El Jimador brand belongs to the renowned distillery Casa Herradura, known for its emphasis on traditional production methods.

El Jimador Reposado has a pleasantly warm and balanced aroma. It is dominated by notes of roasted agave mixed with delicate vanilla, a hint of caramel, spice and a hint of fruit undertones. The nose is harmonious and delicately sweet, yet with the authentic character typical of tequila, which retains the naturalness and purity of the raw ingredients.

The taste is smooth and moderately full. A pleasant sweetness of caramel and vanilla develops on the tongue, followed by subtle spices, nutty tones and a delicate agave finish. The oak tones are subtle and do not overwhelm the vegetal character of the agave, but rather complement it elegantly.

The finish is clean, slightly spicy and longer than you would expect from a younger reposado tequila – it is warm but without unnecessary sharpness. Thanks to its fresh yet balanced flavor, El Jimador Reposado is the ideal choice for sipping or mixing – it goes well in Palomas, Margaritas, or simply on the rocks with a slice of lime.
