El Jimador

The El Jimador brand proudly bears the name of the men who are responsible for every drop of authentic tequila – the jimadores. These experienced farmers have been harvesting the hearts of agave plants, known as piñas, by hand for generations, and it is their precision, respect for the land and thorough knowledge of the plant that form the basis of El Jimador tequila's quality.

The brand was created in 1994 in the Mexican state of Jalisco, in the legendary Casa Herradura distillery, one of the oldest and most respected distilleries in Mexico, with a history dating back to 1870.

Since its inception, El Jimador has distinguished itself as a tequila that is true to tradition, yet accessible and modern. All of their tequilas – Blanco, Reposado and Añejo – are made exclusively from 100 % blue agave, without the addition of sugars or artificial additives, preserving their authentic and pure character. The emphasis on manual labor, natural fermentation, and double distillation are an integral part of the brand's philosophy.

El Jimador is now one of the best-selling 100 % agave tequilas in Mexico and also has a strong presence abroad.
