Dictador Capitulo Uno Port Cask 2000 is a 20-year-old rum from Colombia, which was finished in port wine casks. It is a limited collector's edition produced in a limited quantity of 900 bottles.
It is one of three types of rum created as part of the limited edition Dictador Capitulo Uno by master blender Hernan Parra. The word "Capitulo" in Spanish translates to chapter, which reflects the commitment of the Parra family and their hard work against the backdrop of Colombian heritage full of colors and unique flavors in every rum from this edition.
The Dictador Capitulo Uno edition includes rums aged in American oak barrels and also finishing in port wine or sherry casks. They differ in production year, age, and style of barrels used for aging. These rums were made in only a few casks, resulting in just a few hundred bottles. Therefore, they are exceptional types for collectors and true rum lovers. Reportedly, not all types are available in any country. It is even more delightful that we can offer you four of its versions here in Slovakia, as one of the few countries.
Aroma: hint of rose water, coconut, oak spice, crème brûlée, light vanilla, hints of plum jam and nutmeg
Taste: oak spice at the start, sweet licorice, blueberry jam, dark roasted coffee, deep notes of leather, crushed black pepper
Finish: even more notes of black pepper
