Delamain Vesper Grande Champagne Cognac is a blend made from a variety of old eaux-de-vies. 100% Grande Champagne Cognac was achieved by the gradual addition of 'vielles faibles', very old weak Grande Champagne cognacs with a 15% alcohol content.
The eaux-de-vie used in this blend was selected from growers and distillers from all over the region and each cognac matures in a separate barrel, then matures together but longer than Pale & Dry cognac. The process of independent maturation and the combination of eaux-de-vie with the aim of common maturation in the 350-liter oak barrel Limousin is called marriage. This cognac was launched in 1953. Its brand is a cellar from 1790 by JJ de Boissiere.
