Delamain Vesper Grande Champagne Cognac is a blend made from various old eaux-de-vies. 100% Grande Champagne Cognac was achieved by gradually adding "vielles faibles," very old weak Grande Champagne cognacs with 15 percent alcohol content.
The eaux-de-vie used in this blend were selected from growers and distillers throughout the region, and each cognac ages in a separate cask, then they age together, but longer than Pale & Dry cognac. The process of separate aging and the blending of eaux-de-vie for joint aging in a 350-liter Limousin oak cask is called marriage. This cognac was launched in 1953. Its brand is the cellar from 1790 by J. J. de Boissiere.
