The year 1759 is the date when James Delamain, a native of Ireland, joined forces with his father-in-law Jean-Isaac Ranson, the owner of an old export house whose origins date back to the very beginnings of cognac, and founded the James Delamain House.

The house is still run by the descendants of James Delamain. James Delamain has remained a craft business and all operations of aging brandy and bottling are carried out by hand according to the rules of this art with an absolute demand for quality.

Delamain offers cognacs of various ages, all Grande Champagne sourced exclusively from the Premier Cru region of Cognac.
