Deadhead is a premium Mexican 10-Year-Old rum from the limited edition Anniversary, crafted to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the release of the first Deadhead rum.
Wondering why they chose Mexico as their home? Since the 18th century, sugarcane has been the main crop in Mexico, and rum is considered the national drink. Today, Mexico has more sugar mills than any of its Caribbean neighbors.
The rum is a blend of premium sugarcane juice and molasses. It is double distilled and aged for a long 10 years in European oak and ex-sherry casks. It is then blended to achieve the desired rich, spicy flavor profile. It hails from the Mexican city of Veracruz.
The rum is presented in a somewhat morbid bottle shaped like a shrunken head, known as a Tsantsa, a trophy hidden from a defeated enemy. We recommend serving it at room temperature.
