Deadhead Rum will definitely be remembered not only for its impressive taste, but also for the morbid design of the bottle, which resembles a shrunken head known as Tsantsa. Tsantsa were human heads ritually severed by tribes in the Amazon rainforest, which they produced by removing the brain and entrails from the back of the enemy's neck. However, the design refers to the cultural and local Mexican origins of the rum.

Deadhead Rum itself is born from a blend of pure sugar cane juice and rich molasses grown on private plantations in Tapachula in the Chiapas region of Mexico, known for producing some of the world's most distinguished rums. After fermentation, rum goes through double distillation using the pot still and column still method, while it is produced only in small batches. It is aged for a minimum of 6 years in American white oak cask and in local wooden casks from Chiapas.
