Description
Deadhead Chocolate is a smooth and decadent rum liqueur with a dark chocolate flavor, presented in a bottle shaped like a monkey's head. It has notes of coffee, cocoa and butter that are nicely blended with rich chocolate and cherry.
This 5-year-old rum was produced in a family-run distillery in Chiapas. It was inspired by ancient recipes designed to produce alcohol for Mayan and Aztec rulers.
The rum is aged for 5 years in American oak barrels, which are then infused with organic cacao. The aroma is dominated by the essence of coffee, caramel and subtle notes of dark chocolate, which is however fully present in the taste.
