Cihuatán Cinabrio is a fantastic 12-year-old rum inspired by Mayan legends. Cinabrio refers to the red color historically made from the mineral cinnabar (also known as cinabrio). It was considered a good divine sign.
The rum aged 12 years in ex-bourbon American oak barrels. It is handcrafted in the Cihuatán valley, in the heart of El Salvador, from sugarcane seeds, through distillation, blending, to bottling. At the heart of every bottle of Cinabrio lies the Sleeping Woman, a Mayan goddess and guardian of the Cihuatan valley.
The rum comes in a miniature tasting bottle with a volume of 0.059 l. We recommend serving it neat at room temperature. To enhance the flavor and aroma, you may add one ice cube.
Color: amber with orange-red reflections
Aroma: sweet, bananas, nutmeg, cinnamon, flowers
Taste: tropical, fruit, coconut, chocolate, honey, coffee, vanilla
Finish: medium-long, cocoa, oil, nuts, fruit, oak
