Bundle Foursquare Equidem + Doorly's XO
Foursquare Equidem, the twenty-seventh release (Mark XXVII) in the prestigious Exceptional Cask Selection series, is a true masterpiece. This rum perfectly lives up to the expectations of professionals and enthusiasts who admire the uncompromising quality and innovative approach of the team at Foursquare Rum Distillery.
The biggest attraction of this release is the fact that it is the first bottling from Foursquare to feature rum aged in Black Muscat barrels - a sweet dessert wine known for its intense aromas and fruity complexity.
The result is a unique fusion of the two blends:
- Rum that has spent 5 years in ex-bourbon barrels, followed by another 9 years in ex-Black Muscat barrels.
- A rum that has been aged for a full 14 years in a post-bourbon barrel.
Together they create Single Blended Rum, which combines heavy and light spirits sourced from a copper double retort pot still and a continuous two column still.
This rum has been fully matured, blended and bottled on-site at the legendary Foursquare Distillery in Barbados.
With an alcohol content of 61 %, free from chill filtration, additives and artificial colours, Equidem is a symbol of purity and mastery. This rum is the perfect choice for connoisseurs who appreciate its unique origins and complexity.
Barbadian blended Rum Doorly's XO was created under the direction of Master Distiller Richard Seale, who also owns the world-famous Foursquare distillery.
It is made from a mixture of several Column and Pot Still rums that have matured for at least 6 years. In the end in ex-sherry Oloroso matured in Spanish barrels, which gave Doorly's a great, unique taste and a pleasant aroma.
For maximum enjoyment of rum, we recommend serving uncooled, without water and ice at room temperature. On the label of the bottle is a huge blue parrot from the genus Hyacinth Macaw, which is the largest in the world. The bottle is in a very nice gift box.
