Bowmore 12 Year Old Sherry Oak Cask

This Bowmore 12 Year Old Sherry Oak Cask whisky comes from the legendary Bowmore distillery on the island of Islay, one of the oldest in Scotland, founded in 1779. It is part of the new Sherry Oak Cask collection, where the distillate first matures in carefully selected ex-bourbon and ex-sherry Oloroso casks, which deeply influence the final aroma and taste profile.
The nose opens with vanilla and caramel intertwined with notes of red berries and marzipan, accompanied by hints of dried fruit. The palate reveals syrupy peaches, pears, lemon juice, cinnamon and roasted almonds, with a subtle peaty smoke gradually coming to the fore.
This whisky is ideal for quiet enjoyment at room temperature, where its layered character can fully express itself. It is suitable as a standalone experience (digestif), but also goes well with dark chocolate, fruit desserts or elegant hard cheeses.
The bottles are filled with 40 % alcohol by volume, have a volume of 0,7 l and come in a gift box.
