Black Tot Historic Solera is a luxurious and sophisticated rum that combines tradition and craftsmanship. Created by blending aged rums from Guyana, Barbados, and Jamaica, distilled from molasses. It has been carefully aged in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry oak casks that previously held Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso, before undergoing a unique three-stage Solera process. This method of blending rums of various ages results in a beverage with unique depth and balanced character.
This unique blend consists of 40% Guyanese rum (3–5 years, pot/column still), 35% Barbadian rum (5 years, pot still), 20% unaged Guyanese rum (pot/column still), and 5% Jamaican rum (3 years, high ester profile).
Each sip reveals a harmony of flavours dominated by notes of dark chocolate, prunes and figs. The intense aromas and full-bodied flavours make this rum the ideal companion for slow sipping, but it is equally at home in cocktails that require a bold and elegant base.
Black Tot Historic Solera is a testament to the art of creating rums that are constantly being perfected and will delight even the most discerning lovers of fine spirits.
Rum without added sugar, bottled with an alcohol content of 46.2% with a volume of 0.7 l.
