Barceló Imperial Mizunara Cask, part of the exceptional Barceló Rare Blends rum collection, is born from the nectar of the finest selected Dominican sugar cane grown in the distillery's own cane fields.
It is the result of maturing stocks of the rarest rums in oak casks with varying degrees of toasting, carefully selected by expert master coopers. Once the blend is obtained, Mizunara Cask is aged in virgin Japanese oak barrels to achieve the complexity and unique flavour that distinguishes this exuberant rum.
Barceló Imperial Mizunara Cask is an intense and woody spirit, born to enchant even the most discerning palate; it is a harmony for the senses.
A distinctive pale amber colour with copper highlights. Its trace on the inside of the glass, draws slight tears. Its aroma is of toasted wood, accompanied by vanilla, complex notes of sandalwood, coconut and ginger. The taste combines memories perceived on the nose, woody and delicate. Long finish, slightly spicy and dry.
Best enjoyed neat at room temperature or chilled in a rum glass.
Pairs well with fine cigars, aged cheeses, elegant desserts, dark chocolate and choice cuts of red meat.
