Zacapa XO

Ron Zacapa XO is among the most prestigious rums in the world and represents the pinnacle of the Zacapa brand's portfolio. Rum is distilled from fermented virgin sugarcane syrup, not molasses, which gives it exceptional smoothness and a rich flavor profile.
Aging takes place in the so-called "House Above the Clouds" at an altitude of approximately 2,300 m above sea level, where the stable climate allows for slow and harmonious maturation. Ron Zacapa XO ages using the solera system in a combination of American whiskey, Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, and then undergoes final aging in French oak barrels previously used for cognac.
The result is an extraordinarily elegant rum with notes of dried fruit, cocoa, vanilla, caramel, dark chocolate, and subtle spices. Ron Zacapa XO is ideal for slow sipping neat, or with a drop of water to enhance its complexity.
