Vigna Rampante Rosso IGT Colli Trevigiani 2018
This exceptional red wine, called Mezzosangue, represents a perfect harmony between tradition and artisanal processing. A splendid blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon varieties comes from hand-selected grape clusters from the oldest vineyards in the Montello area, known for its ideal microclimate – dry, windy conditions and favorable slope exposure.
This wine stands out with an intense aroma that reveals notes of ripe fruit, spices, and subtle oak. On the palate, it is deep, rich, and balanced, with elegant tannins and a long, harmonious finish.
The grapes are hand-harvested at the turn of September and October, ensuring optimal ripeness. Fermentation occurs with maceration on grape skins in wooden vats for at least 10 days, adding complexity and color to the wine. The wine then ages 14 to 18 months in oak barrels, gaining softness and character, and is completed with an additional minimum two years of bottle aging.
