The exceptional Ukiyo Japanese Blossom Gin was born in Kagoshima, in the shadow of the Sakurajima volcano in Japan. It is made from traditional Japanese shōchū liquor. During the redistillation of high-quality shōchū, a smoother gin is created, which has a wonderfully light mouthfeel.
In Japan, there is a short period in spring when the cherry blossoms (sakura) bloom. As part of the tradition known as "Hanami," people gather to celebrate the cascading bloom of these flowers and the change of the season. Therefore, unique sakura flowers are also added to this gin.
The distillation occurs along with juniper berries, mandarins, and spices. This combination results in a citrusy gin with a delicate floral aroma. The bottles are filled with an alcohol content of 40% and the bottle volume is 0.7 l.
We recommend serving gin over ice on its own or in various mixed drinks.
