Topanito Mezcal Artesanal Blanco is a premium artisanal mezcal from the Mexican state of Oaxaca. The first of two outstanding mezcals, it has a pleasant aroma with notes of smoke, earthiness, and agave.
It is made from a high-quality variety of agave known as Espadín, which has been grown for over 7 years! The hearts of the agave plant, known as “piñas,” are roasted in earthen pits for 5 to 8 days. They are then crushed using a traditional tahona (a stone mill powered by a donkey). The mash is finally fermented with a small amount of water and wild yeasts in open vats.
This is the perfect ingredient for cocktails and long drinks such as 1910, Closing Argument, Division Bell, Garden Sour or M & M.
