In the production of the series The GlenAllachie Wine Cask, the great Master Distiller Billy Walker first expertly matured the distillate in the finest ex-bourbon American oak casks and then transferred it to hand-selected European wine casks for secondary maturation. Billy added a distinctive touch to this version by ultimately blending four exceptional cask wines into one unique product: Cuvée Wine Cask Finish.
The latest release Cuvée Cask Finish, which was bottled this year, is a harmonious blend of whisky matured in casks that previously held premium red wine. The best casks were hand-selected from French regions Languedoc and Médoc with AOC (Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée) designation, along with additional casks from the regions of Grattamacco and Recioto della Valpolicella from Italy.
This exceptional whisky is a limited edition, which has matured for a total of 10 years. In the whisky, expect layers of robust red fruit and gentle spices along with citrus notes from this smooth yet distinctive limited malt.
Bottles were filled with an alcohol content of 48% and are delivered in stylish gift cartons.
