Delicious and balanced Scottish Single Malt whisky Tamnavulin Red Wine German Pinot Noir Finish comes from the Speyside region. The Tamnavulin distillery has already experimented with aging malt in red wine casks. This is their next, very successful attempt.
The initial aging was in casks made of American white oak. The secondary aging took place in casks that previously held German red wine made from Pinot Noir grapes. This added a wealth of red fruit and dry spice to the whisky's aroma and flavor.
The whisky is bottled at 40% alcohol content. It comes in a beautiful gift packaging.
Color: amber with copper highlights
Aroma: woody, cinnamon, cherries, raspberry, nut cake, orange
Taste: warming, peaches, plums, sour cherries, ginger, black pepper
Finish: medium-long, complex, caramel, pistachios, cherries
