Tamnavulin Red Wine German Pinot Noir Finish

The delicious and balanced Tamnavulin Red Wine German Pinot Noir Finish Single Malt Scotch Whisky comes from the Speyside region. The Tamnavulin distillery has already experimented with maturing malt in red wine casks. This is their next, very successful experiment.

The initial maturation was in barrels made from American white oak. The secondary maturation was in barrels that had previously been used to age German red wine made from the Pinot Noir variety. This gave the whisky an abundance of red fruit and dry spice in aroma and flavour.

The whisky is bottled at 40% alcohol. It comes in a beautiful gift box.

Colour: amber with copper highlights
Nose: woody, cinnamon, cherry, raspberry, walnut cake, orange
Taste: warming, peaches, plums, cherries, ginger, black pepper
Finish: medium-long, complex, caramel, pistachio, cherry
