Ron Tepuy Monumento

Ron Tepuy Monumento is a super-premium Venezuelan dark rum, representing a deeper, more robust, and complex face of the Ron Tepuy brand. It is inspired by the Venezuelan tabletop mountains tepuy – dramatic natural formations rising above the rainforest, symbolizing time, patience, and uniqueness. This philosophy is reflected in the brand's slogan “The Height of Perfection”.

The rum comes from the distillery Destilería Unidas S.A. / DUSA, a family-owned Venezuelan distillery with a tradition since 1959. DUSA employs a combination of various distillation techniques, tropical aging, and sherry cask finishing to create rums with depth, elegance, and structure.

Monumento is a blend primarily led by pot still distillates and heavier rum styles, making it feel fuller, more intense, and more pronounced than Destino. It ages for up to 12 years in American oak after bourbon and then undergoes a complex triple finish in casks of Pedro Ximénez, Amontillado, and Oloroso sherry. This combination adds layers of dried fruit, spice, nuts, oak, and dark chocolate.

The aroma initially presents a balance between black cherries and spice, gradually transitioning to notes of dried plums and toasted oak. The taste is soft, full, and structured, with notes of dried plums, roasted nuts, oak, intense spice, and dark chocolate. Ron Tepuy Monumento is ideal for slow sipping neat or with a large ice cube.
