When the founders of Pampero™ began aging their rums in oak barrels in 1938, Especial became the first Venezuelan rum to be officially labeled as Añejo ("aged"). Triple distillation helps create a shiny, rich golden color that evokes the complexity of the Caribbean coast.
Aged for up to 2 years in American white oak barrels that previously held 5-times bourbon. Pampero Especial is one of the most popular blended rums throughout Venezuela! It is made from premium high-quality Venezuelan molasses.
The aroma is dominated by vanilla, herbs, caramel, molasses, and spices. The taste is sweet and light, with notes of cream, honey, fruit, and cherries. The finish is long, with hints of caramel, nuts, butter, and wood.
It is ideal for mixing cocktails like Cuba Libre, but thanks to its smoothness, you can also enjoy it neat. Bottles are filled with an alcohol content of 40% with a volume of 0.7 l.
