Ron Quorhum 30 Aniversario
When decades of experience and the best rums from the Caribbean are combined, brown rum Quorhum 30 Aniversario is created. A striking bottle and an unconventional taste that is completely different from other twenty-three-year-old rums. Do you want him? Then hurry up! Quorhum rums are created in smaller limited editions!
Looking at the sharp lines of a modern bottle with Quorhum 30 Aniversario rum, one would expect a similarly sharp taste. But the appearance is deceptive, the brown rum Quorhum 30 Aniversario, originally from the Dominican Republic, has a silky soft body and is really pleasantly sweet for its age.
Perfect balance of taste
It is said that the older the rum and the longer it matures in oak barrels, the more its aroma and taste reflect the characteristics of the barrel in which it matures. However, Quorhum 30 Aniversario, which forms a blend of rums up to the age of twenty-three, is an exception to the rule.
Its aroma is pleasantly spicy, with hints of vanilla, raisins and caramel. Nothing has the upper hand, nothing dominates, the scent is perfectly balanced and the woodiness is minimal in it. In the taste, woodiness is then in balance with sweetness. The taste is full and on the tongue it refers to almonds, honey and apricots. The conclusion is slightly spicy. Quorhum 30 Aniversario rum is thus completely ranked among modern rums.
A long tradition and an escape from Cuba
Oliver & Oliver matures, mixes and bottles this rum - and in fact all rums from the Quorhum family - in the Dominican Republic. But the rums themselves come from other Caribbean countries, most often from Panama and Trinidad. And Oliver & Oliver itself has its roots in another country. It was founded in the 19th century in Cuba. Its founder was Juanillo Oliver and his descendants, after Fidel Castro came to power in Cuba, moved the family business to the Dominican Republic - the natural conditions are said to be the same, the political ones then disproportionately better.
The brown Quorhum 30 Aniversario should be in their bar by everyone who considers himself a rum connoisseur and at the same time a bit of a visionary - he is not one of the most famous, he does not taste typical "old" premium rum and the design of his bottle with a steel gray label ahead of time. But it is definitely not to the detriment.
