Cognac Godet XO Terre, named after the planet Earth, carries the designation XO (Extra Old). It ages for a solid 30 years in oak barrels. It is characterized by a bright golden color with dark mahogany reflections. A blend of fresh floral and fruity aromas quickly gives way to heavier notes of cinnamon and spice.
Godet XO Terre is produced in the French region of Cognac, known for its quality cognacs. The process of making cognac involves several key steps.
The fermentation of grapes takes place in special concrete tanks. Distillation occurs twice in special distillation columns. During this phase, the base alcohol is obtained, which then matures.
Godet XO Terre ages for 30 years in oak barrels. During this process, the cognac gradually blends with the wood, contributing to its complex character and rich tones.
Once optimal aging is achieved, the cognac is blended and ready for bottling with an alcohol content of 40 %. Each bottle contains a harmoniously combined content from various barrels, ensuring consistent quality. The bottles are presented in a white-gold gift box.
