Portofino Dry Gin is a premium Italian gin originating from the picturesque coastal town of Portofino, known for its elegance, pine-scented air and authentic Mediterranean atmosphere. The recipe is inspired by traditional Ligurian botanicals growing along the coastline – hand-picked herbs, citrus fruits and aromatic plants.
The gin brings together 21 botanicals, including:
– juniper,
– lemon and orange peel,
– rosemary, lavender, marjoram,
– sage, mint, violet flowers,
– and typical Ligurian herbs from the hills surrounding Portofino.
Distillation takes place in original copper stills that were once used for crafting medicinal tinctures. The result is an exceptionally aromatic, balanced and smooth gin with an elegant Mediterranean character.
On the nose it is fresh, botanically pure and citrusy – lemon peel, juniper, lavender and herbs.
The palate is smooth and distinctly Mediterranean – juniper, lemon oil, rosemary, sage, mint, gentle spice and a touch of floral notes. The finish is long, refreshing and lightly spicy, with remarkable purity and aromatic depth.
