Papalin is a high quality Jamaican 6 year-old blended "vatted rum". It is a blend of seven casks from three producers Clairins- Sajous, Vaval and Casimir.
After blending, it is filled into ex-sherry Oloroso casks in which it is matured for 6 years. Finally, it was bottled at 54,1 % alcohol. The bottle comes in a gift box.
The Papalin project is dedicated to the rum blends created by Luca Gargano himself. A bright palette of flavors and immediately reveals a ripe expression that remains throughout the entire tasting. Of its many wonderful sequences, its chocolate smoothness and oriental spicy notes stand out in particular. This 2017 Papalin Haiti was distilled in a pot still only.
Colour: mahogany with golden highlights
Nose: apricot, cherry, walnut, precious wood, lacquer, sherry, caramel
Taste: chocolate, ginger, cane sugar, caramel
Finish: long, smooth, raisins, dried figs, mild curry, turmeric, nutmeg
