Papalin is an independent brand of rums, founded by Italian rum visionary Luca Gargano, the founder of Velier. The Papalin project was created to showcase how different rums from a single island or region can be blended into a unique mixture that retains its authentic character and terroir.
Unlike typical blended rums, Papalin exclusively works with rums that contain no added sugar or artificial ingredients. All blends are hand-selected, aged in barrels, and then bottled in limited editions. In the portfolio, you can find Papalin Jamaica, which combines various styles of Jamaican rums with their characteristic ester strength and fruitiness, or Papalin Haiti, which highlights the rustic and authentic character of local pot still rums.
Papalin rums are bold and honest in flavor. They feature notes of tropical fruits like bananas, pineapples, and citrus, complemented by fermentation nuances – olives, herbs, and flowers – that are particularly characteristic of Haiti.
