We are very honoured to announce that we have become a distributor of Papa's Pilar rums! If the name is familiar to you, you will associate it with the world famous writer Ernest Hemingway.
Why? Ernest Hemingway - also known as Papa (his nickname) - was a man of many things. He was a writer, a free thinker, an adventurer, an athlete, a fisherman, and a rambunctious man. He constantly traveled from one port to another, collecting stories, each more epic than the last. Papa's Pilar, aptly named after his father and his boat Pilar himself, was created to tap into this mindset. It's an homage to Hemingway's adventures and an inspiration for your own.
Papa's Pilar Rum is a true collaboration with the Hemingway family. Together, the Hemingway family & Papa's Pilar Rum have contributed millions of dollars to communities that support literacy, environmental conservation, reef restoration, and other worthy initiatives that Hemingway himself would be proud of.
The distillery is based in Key West, Florida. The brand believes in preserving what matters. They are committed to sustainable practices in production and ethical fishing. In true Hemingway spirit, Papa's Pilar partners with local and national charitable foundations that support ocean conservation and preservation.

Papa's Pilar Dark Rum
Papa's Pilar Dark Rum is made from different types of rum that are blended and aged together. It contains 9 different rums from regions such as Barbados, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Panama and Florida. This rum is aged in a variety of cask types including ex-bourbon American oak, ex-port wine and ex-sherry Oloroso. This gives it a rich and complex flavour.
Papa's Pilar Spanish Sherry Casks
Papa's Pilar Spanish Sherry Casks are made from different types of rum that are blended and aged together. It contains 9 different rums from regions such as Barbados, the Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Panama and Florida, and the characteristic flavours of dried fruit and spices are given by maturation in sherry casks. This rum is aged in a variety of cask types including ex-bourbon American oak, ex-port wine and ex-sherry Spanish Oloroso.
Papa's Pilar Rye Whiskey Barrel Finished Rum
Papa's Pilar Rye Whiskey Barrel Finished Rum contains 9 different rums from regions such as Barbados, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Panama and Florida, giving it a complex flavour. This rum is aged in a variety of barrel types including ex-bourbon American oak, ex port wine, ex-sherry Spanish Oloroso and finally finished in white oak barrels, heavily charred after once using Rye whiskey.
Papa's Pilar Blonde Rum
Papa's Pilar Blonde Rum is made from different types of rum that are blended and aged together. It contains 6 different rums from regions such as Barbados, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Panama and Florida. The makers had the intention of going back to lighter rums and its roots in the 1930s and 40s when Papa (Hemingway) was enjoying rum in Key West and Cuba and inadvertently created a new category - light blonde rum. Blonde rum is blended in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry Spanish Oloroso barrels.
Even the visuals of the bottles are unique! They are inspired by the field bottles used during WW2.
