Nikka Coffey Vodka
Nikka Coffey Vodka was launched in 2017 by Japanese distillery Nikka, which is best known for its whiskies. It is based on two Coffey high-performance continuous distillation apparatus (known as Coffey stills) originally from Scotland, imported in 1963 and used in the Miyagikyo distillery. A mixture of corn and malted barley is distilled separately, blended and then filtered through white birch charcoal for a smooth purity.
Nikka draws on its long experience in producing gins and vodkas since the 1960s, with Coffey stills bringing the fullness and texture typical of their grain and malt whiskies. The result is a vodka with a pleasant structure, distinct body and grain character, setting it apart from the usual neutral, clean vodkas.
Nikka Coffey Vodka has won prestigious awards: ‘Country Winner Japan’ at the World Vodka Awards 2022 and the Trophy for Best Japanese Varietal at the same event.
The bottles are filled with 40 % alcohol by volume, have a volume of 0,7 l and are supplied in gift boxes.
