Planta Santa Añejo mezcal is manufactured in Oaxaca, southern Mexico. Mezcal is a distillate made mainly from the variety of the agave plant Maguey Espadin but also other wild agaves. The recipe for production and distillation has a tradition of more than 400 years, which has been passed down from generation to generation. It matures for more than 12 months in American oak barrels.
This mezcal is one of three that belong to the first and so far only series of the Planta Santa brand. Añejo has a dark brown-black bottle color. The logo on the bottle is inspired by agave leaves.
