Dark rum Mates XO (Extra Old) was created through a harmonious blend of Caribbean and South American rum.
It contains a mix of two 8-year rums from Barbados and the Dominican Republic and 5-8 year old rum from Nicaragua. Each of these three countries is known for its unique fermentation, distillation, and aging processes. Their combination resulted in an unusual rum with a Caribbean base and South American touch with a pleasantly rounded smooth taste and buttery notes accompanied by vanilla, dark chocolate, and a light hint of smoke. Thanks to the masterful blend, the rum is naturally sweet, without added sugar and without any additives.
Aged in bourbon barrels.
