Description
Dark rum Mates XO (Extra Old) was created by a harmonious combination of Caribbean and South American rum.
It contains a blend of two 8 year old rums from Barbados and the Dominican Republic and a 5-8 year old rum from Nicaragua. Each of these three countries is known for its unique rum fermentation, distillation and aging processes. Their combination resulted in an unusual rum with a Caribbean base and a South American touch with a pleasantly rounded and smooth taste with buttery notes accompanied by vanilla, dark chocolate and a light hint of smoke. Thanks to the master blend, the rum is naturally sweet, without added sugar and without other additives.
Aged in ex-bourbon barrels.
