Loch Lomond 25 Year Old

The unique whisky Loch Lomond 25-Year Old has been created to celebrate the 151st Open at Royal Liverpool as a tribute to golf's oldest and most prestigious tournament. This 25-year old single malt whisky was distilled in 1998 from unpasteurised malt at the unique Straight Neck distillery.

The whisky was first matured in filled ex-bourbon American oak casks, then quietly aged for 24 years in the shade of Ben Lomond, and finally matured for 12 months in Spain's finest Oloroso casks.

Finishing in Oloroso barrels adds layers of rich dried fruit and nuts to the typical orchard fruit notes that emerge from the distilleries. You can expect a complex flavor profile of ripe peaches and juicy pineapple with dried citrus zest, raisins, toasted almonds and warming spice, before a lingering sweetness of melted brown sugar and vanilla on the finish.

Bottled at 43,2 % cask strength and unfiltered at chill with a natural colour. The bottle comes in a wooden gift box. Bottle capacity is 0,7 l.
