Le Contesse Pinot Nero Spumante Brut
Choose the right glasses for prosecco or champagne and enjoy them as they should be.
Le Contesse Pinot Nero Spumante Brut is an Italian dry white sparkling wine. It is made from 100% hand-picked Pinot Noir grapes, carefully selected from the best vineyards located near the Congeliano mountain range, in the Treviso wine region, Italy (elevation 40 m above sea level). The wine is the result of a sparkling process called "Long Charmat".
After hand-picking, the grapes undergo only light pressing and cleaning of the must through cold static decantation. Part of the must is then stored in a cool place, while the rest of the blend ferments at a controlled temperature. The second fermentation takes place in pressurized tanks with selected yeasts, during which it ages and develops its effervescence for another 9-12 months. After this step, the wine is bottled and left to age in temperature-controlled warehouses for a few more weeks.
Color: light golden reflections obtained from long aging with yeast
Aroma: bread crust and ripe fruit with a pleasantly fresh hint
Taste: uniquely complex notes of red fruit, full body
Harvest time: late August, early September
Serve chilled at a temperature of 7 - 9°C.
This Italian wine pairs excellently as an aperitif and also with dishes of fish, rice, pasta, and creamy cheese.
