Description
The whiskey Laphroaig Lore was created by distillery manager John Campbell. Laphroaig Lore is considered to be the richest of all Laphroaig whiskeys. Lore has undergone a number of improvements over many generations. It matures in a combination of sherry barrels and quarter barrels.
Aroma : rich and smoky with sea minerals, a hint of ash and hot chocolate. Chocolate is followed by vanilla tones combined with greasy unroasted chestnuts and a hint of fondant. A drop of water added to whiskey will develop creamy and fruity tones.
Taste : rich, peat with spicy hints of chili
Conclusion : short, dry with long sweet aftertaste
