Koskenkorva Original 1l
Finnish vodka Koskenkorva is made from first-class Finnish natural ingredients. It undergoes constant distillation and is said to be distilled more than 250 times before filling into bottles! As you can probably imagine, this creates exceptionally high-quality and fine Finnish vodka. Thanks to a consistent production process and excellent final quality, Koskenkorva vodka has become one of the best in the world.
Koskenkorva originates from the Finnish village of Koskenkorva (Ilmajoki, southern Ostrobothnia), where the distillery has been operating since the 1940s – experimental distillation began in 1941 and systematic production of regular spirits started in 1953. Originally, potatoes were used, but later they switched to local grain – over time, a pure, neutral vodka called ‘viina’ was created, now also known as vodka for export markets. The brand quickly gained popularity – it has been the best-selling Finnish distillate brand since the 1960s.
Koskenkorva is made from local barley grown within a limited radius of approximately 200 km from the distillery. It uses 100 % non-GMO grain and 100 % spring water from Rajamäki, without additional filtration. The distillation itself is a continuous process through 9 columns, with an efficiency of up to 99 % and an output of ‘unfiltered grain spirit’. The product is diluted with water back to 40 % alcohol, without sugar, which guarantees a clean, neutral and smooth taste.
Thanks to its clean and delicate taste, it is a great ingredient in cocktails and long drinks.
