Kilchoman Loch Gorm 2024
Pronunciation: { Kill-cHO-man }Loch Gorm is the name of the annual limited edition aged in sherry. It is named after the largest freshwater lake on the Isle of Islay, which is adjacent to the distillery, and the dark murky color of the lake's water is reflected in the rich copper tones of the sherry-aged Loch Gorm release.
Each cask was selected for its unique flavor profile, which, combined with the other 21 casks, creates a beautiful balance of rich fruity character with layers of classic Kilchoman, peaty smoke, and citrus sweetness.
Loch Gorm 2024 matures exclusively in Oloroso sherry casks from the renowned wine company Jose Miguel Martin. It is common for distilleries to use different sherry producers, but for consistent quality and character, it is essential that they are sourced from a single winery. A combination of casks and sherry casks from Jose Miguel Martin is selected, providing two distinct maturation styles.
These ex-Oloroso sherry casks impart a combination of rich sherry, spicy dark chocolate, rich fruit, and burnt sugar. This beautifully balances with the peaty smoke of Kilchoman and citrus fruits.
Bottles are filled with an alcohol content of 46% with a volume of 0.7 l and are delivered in gift boxes.
