Karpatská Perla Pinot Noir
Pinot Noir from the winery Karpatská Perla comes from the prestigious vineyard site Suchý Vrch in Modra. This terroir, characterized by calcareous-clay soils, is exceptionally suitable for the sensitive Pinot Noir variety, which imparts elegance, subtle minerality, and a deep fruity expression.
The designation CHOP – Protected Designation of Origin guarantees that the grapes come exclusively from this Small Carpathian region.
The 2021 vintage of this red wine was processed gently with an emphasis on preserving the typical Pinot delicacy. Fermentation took place at controlled temperatures, and aging occurred partly in stainless steel tanks and partly in wooden barrels, which gave the wine a velvety texture and subtle notes of vanilla and spice, without excessive woodiness.
The aroma is dominated by notes of cherries, raspberries, strawberries, forest fruits, complemented by a delicate touch of dried herbs and minerality.
On the palate, the wine is smooth, harmonious, and juicy – red berry fruit, cherry pit, cranberries, raspberries, a gentle hint of spice, and a soft tannic structure. The acidity is fresh, beautifully integrated, and carries the wine into a long, clean finish.
The finish is gentle, elegant, with notes of red fruit, subtle spice, and a mineral touch typical of Suchý Vrch.
The wine is ideal with lighter red meats, game, roasted chicken, grilled mushrooms, aged cheese, or as an evening delight for lovers of fine Pinots.
